Gym Gold Membership

This membership is a one-stop shop for gyms operating to the highest standards. It gives businesses the reassurance and ease of having everything included to ensure they are running a setting that ticks all the boxes.

Our "Gym Gold" membership is £999 per year, or £99 per month. Auto-renewal is available on this membership. 

  • Full gold standard health and safety assessment
  • Eligible to apply to be a PKUK Hub (link to hub descripition on our website).
  • Listing and feature on PKUK website and social media
  • Support in funding submissions – Sport England Movement fund or Home Nation equivalent (subject to meeting Sport England community organisation governance criteria)
  • Funded place for your head coach on our new Coach educator and master parkour coach qualification (with additional places at discounted rate)
  • Access to Parkour UK coaching courses at a discounted rate (10%)
  • Cash back scheme for coach, sport and junior members who affiliate with your club.
  • Regular forums with Parkour UK

Requirements on joining

  • Provide a copy of the Public Liability Insurance (up to £10m)
     
  • Provide a copy of generic Health and Safety at work Risk Assessments
     
  • Adopt and implement Parkour UK Coaching Standards, policies and procedures
     
  • Have a Welfare Officer in place - submit their name and email address
     
  • Have a safeguarding concern reporting process in place
     
  • Report any safeguarding concerns to the Parkour UK Safeguarding Team
     
  • All eligible staff and volunteers to be DBS checked (The Welfare Officer, coaches and anyone having regular contact with children and adults at risk should have an up-to-date enhanced DBS check)
     
  • All coaches to be qualified and at least 1 Level 2 coach (list of coaches & their qualifications to be provided)
     
  • Staff/volunteers involved should have the relevant UK Coaching safeguarding training
     
  • The Welfare Officer should ensure their details are publicly available and shared with participants, parents, volunteers and coaches.
     
  • The Welfare Officer should keep an up-to-date record of the training and DBS checks mentioned above and ensure people renew these every 3 years.
     
  • Implement safe recruitment practices for coaches and volunteers
     
  • Upload head coach details (name, qualification & date obtained) and upload certificate)
     
  • Posters or information about safeguarding, safety, inclusion, mental health, online safety and raising concerns at the club/organisation to be visible in venues, websites and social media platforms.

Working Towards (to achieve within 12 months)

  • Regular (at least quarterly) communication with parents, carers, participants and coaches about safeguarding procedures (this could be via newsletters, social media or information letters)
     
  • Have an equality policy in place
     
  • Have a welcome process for new participants which also provides them with information on who the welfare officer is and what to do if they have a concern.
     
  • Have an induction process for new staff including who the welfare officer is and what to do if they have any concerns
     
  • All staff/volunteers to have received safeguarding training (children & adults)
     
  • All coaches to be Parkour UK qualified
     
  • Introduce listening to the voice of the child - ensure C&YP are listened to in activities and anything that involves them. This could be done through surveys, youth groups/committees, feedback etc. and include topics such as the sessions they attend, how safe they feel at the gym, competition and any other topics that the C&YP feel is important to them.
